Shop Laborer

Position Summary

G3 Aerospace is seeking a dependable and motivated Shop Laborer to support a variety of hands-on production and shop activities within our aerospace manufacturing operation. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is willing to support multiple areas of the shop as needed.

The Shop Laborer will assist with tasks such as shipping and receiving, part assembly, deburring, rework, material handling, shop organization, and other general labor duties that help keep production moving efficiently. This role is important to maintaining workflow, supporting on-time delivery, and ensuring the shop remains clean, organized, and operating safely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading deliveries, checking incoming materials, packaging outgoing parts, and preparing shipments
  • Support assembly operations by preparing components, gathering hardware, and assisting with mechanical assembly tasks
  • Perform deburring, sanding, trimming, cleaning, and other finishing work on manufactured parts
  • Assist with rework of parts as directed by supervisors, engineering, or quality personnel
  • Move raw materials, work-in-process, tooling, and finished goods throughout the facility
  • Label, organize, stage, and store materials and completed parts properly
  • Help maintain clean and orderly work areas, equipment, and common shop spaces
  • Support inventory organization and general material control efforts
  • Follow work instructions, supervisor direction, and company procedures to complete assigned tasks accurately
  • Assist other departments and production cells as needed to support business priorities
  • Identify and report damaged materials, equipment issues, or quality concerns to the appropriate personnel
  • Follow all company safety rules and use required personal protective equipment

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, shipping/receiving, warehouse, assembly, construction, or general shop labor preferred
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and shop equipment safely
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required
  • Forklift experience is a plus, but not required
  • Aerospace or production shop experience is a plus, but not required

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the workday
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, lift, and carry materials
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift heavier items with assistance
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment around machinery, tools, and moving materials
